San Diego State University
The Campaign for SDSU

The time is now.

Since its founding in 1897, San Diego State University has proven to be an invaluable partner in the growth of San Diego—our city, county and region.

Sixty percent of SDSU alumni remain here, contributing to our regional economy, our community services and our governmental leadership.

Very likely, you’re one of them.

We need you.

To ensure our continued success as a university with significant regional, national and global impact, San Diego State celebrates the public launch of our first comprehensive fundraising campaign.

To be succinct: state funding is not nearly enough to maintain and continually raise our standards of excellence. For that, we need the support of private donors like you.

The Campaign for SDSU will leverage the university’s strengths and reinforce our synergy with the San Diego region. Thanks to the early generosity of our alumni and friends, we are on track to meet our fund-raising goal of $500 million.

But the most crucial stage of this campaign is still ahead of us.

Take initiative.

The four campaign initiatives build upon SDSU’s century-old tradition of enriching student lives, while also strengthening the San Diego region’s 21st-century economy.

We hope you’ll join us to help ensure San Diego State’s continued excellence in education, research and community service.
