Honors Admission Requirements
High School Applicants
High school seniors (incoming college freshmen) from the U.S. or overseas will be required to meet one of the
following four eligibility criteria in order to apply:
• A weighted grade point average of 3.70 or above, or
• A composite score of 28 or above on the ACT, or
• A score of 1200 or above on the old SAT (Critical Reading + Math), or
• A score of 1270 or above on the new SAT (Evidence-Based Reading & Writing + Math)
Currently enrolled SDSU Applicants
Current SDSU students must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average in order to apply.
from the U.S. or overseas applying from a community college or another university must have at
least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average in order to apply.
AP, IB, or Concurrent Enrollment Credit
of our incoming Honors freshmen arrive with college credit earned
through AP tests, concurrent enrollment credit, or an IB experience.
These credits may count toward some of your General Education
requirements; however, these credits cannot be used toward completion of the Weber Honors College requirements.
classes are not interchangeable with any coursework done in high
school; therefore, AP, IB, or community college credits do not waive any
of the Honors requirements.
