Antonio Marotta, PhD, LMFT.

Lecturer and Clinical Supervisor

Dr. Marotta has been a California licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1995, and has been running his own private practice since this time. He received a business degree in 1978 from Manhattan college, but decided to switch careers and went to San Diego State University, where he received his Masters in Counseling in 1993. Dr. Marotta then went on to earn his doctorate at Texas Tech University in 2000, where he wrote his dissertation on how divorce affects the family system.

Dr. Marotta also is a Clinical Consultant for Safety Alert Inc. where he provides crisis interventions and trainings for the Developmentally Disabled Community.

Dr. Marotta is presently adjunct faculty at San Diego State University  where he teaches law and ethics and theory classes to graduate students. He is also very involved in conducting his own research and advising graduate students on their theses. Dr. Marotta belongs to two professional organizations: AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists) and CAMFT (California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists)
