About the Awards
The SDSU Diversity Awards serve as an opportunity for the entire San Diego State University community to come together and celebrate their long standing commitment to diversity, inclusion, and social justice. The SDSU Diversity Awards are annually presented to
•Student Organizations
•Faculty
•Staff
•Alumni or Community Partners
For their exemplary contributions to diversity and social justice
Award Recipients
Demonstrate an exemplary commitment to the San Diego State University “Shared Vision” goal to “Create a community proud of its diversity and commitment to social justice”.
Exhibit leadership which fosters positive interaction between people of different lifestyles, cultural backgrounds and identities.
Consistently behave in a manner illustrating a commitment to the inclusion of persons within the university, and the community, who are members of historically underrepresented or marginalized groups.
Award Recognition
Entries are evaluated by a select panel members of the campus community and/or individuals designated by the Office of the President depending on the category.
The award program will include up to 5 awards.
Winners will be announced at the SDSU Diversity Awards Celebration on April 24, 2013.
4:30pm – 6:30pm and recognized on the SDSU Diversity website.
The award recipients will also be acknowledge through the SDSU diversity website and other media venues
