Ambassadors for Higher Education

The Ambassadors for Higher Education (AHE) play a leading role in promoting higher education issues on behalf of the California State University system (CSU), and specifically, San Diego State University.


The Ambassadors for Higher Education:

  • bring together individuals and organizations who wish to know more about the important work and contributions of higher education, the CSU and SDSU
  • promote actions and the discussion of issues vital to the future of higher education
  • communicate to opinion leaders, decision makers and the public how the university and the CSU are preparing for the challenges of the 21st century
  • participate in media and public service campaigns to promote higher education, SDSU, the CSU and its programs

The AHE Public Service Award recognizes honorees for leadership in promoting higher education issues on behalf of SDSU and the CSU. 

Congresswoman Susan Davis received the Public Service Award on Oct. 16, 2008.
