Harambee Recruits Top African American Students
Harambee Weekend, in conjunction with Explore SDSU, showcases SDSU's cultural engagement.
Harambee Weekend exhibits SDSU's African American community.

San Diego State University’s Harambee Weekend is a personalized event for admitted students that provides insight into the SDSU African American community.
It will give students a glimpse into the culturally responsive and social support system available to SDSU students.

Harambee Weekend.Event detailsThe event begins at 3 p.m. Friday, March 16, and includes an optional overnight stay in the SDSU residence halls.
The weekend concludes with
Explore SDSU Open House on Saturday, March 17.
Harambee Weekend includes:- Meet and greet with committed SDSU Faculty and Staff
- Enriching discussions with African American student leaders and organizations
- Dinner and student entertainment
- Culturally responsive question and answer session with university administrators and faculty
- Overnight stay in the residence halls with SDSU Harambee Student Liaisons
- Breakfast with SDSU students and staff
