Celebrating Diversity

An awards ceremony honors diversity among the SDSU community.

In celebration of San Diego State University’s rich diversity, the 8th annual SDSU Diversity Awards Celebration will be held May 2.

The event acknowledges:

  • Presidential Scholarship recipients
  • Diversity at SDSU, including race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, disability, sexual orientation and more
  • Corporate and community support for diversity and social justice

“The SDSU Diversity Awards serve as an opportunity for the entire San Diego State University community to come together and celebrate their long standing commitment to diversity, inclusion and social justice,” said Aaron Bruce, chief diversity officer at SDSU. “The awards celebrate student organizations, faculty and staff who are doing exemplary work in the field of diversity.”

The ceremony also provides an opportunity for diverse members of the campus and San Diego communities to meet and network.

Event details

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m., May 2, at the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center.
