A special on-campus celebration of life for Mary Shojai will be held at 11 a.m., Oct. 28, in the Parma Payne Goodall Alumni Center on the SDSU campus.
A celebration of life service will give the campus and the larger community the opportunity to recognize and celebrate Mary Shojai's dedication to public service and advocacy for students with disabilities.
Mary was a long-time colleague at SDSU who served as director of Student Disability Services. She passed away on Sept. 30, 2012.
Memorial service speakers will include President Elliot Hirshman, Vice President for Student Affairs James Kitchen, SDS Student Advisory Board representatives, staff from Mary's office, campus colleagues and community members.
A reception with light refreshments will follow.
Parking will be available next to the Parma Payne Goodall Aumni Center in Parking Structure 5, Level 2 (street level), with entrance on 55th Street. Parking Permits will not be required.
