Financial Planning Magazine named SDSU one of the best schools for future financial planners.
SDSU's College of Business Administration announced that the college’s financial planning program was named one of Financial Planning magazine’s “25 Great Schools For Future Financial Planners” in its November 2012 issue.
SDSU was one of among only eight U.S. business schools recognized by the magazine that offered both a degree program and a certificate program.
About the program
SDSU’s College of Business Administration was one of the first universities to offer financial planning as part of its academic curriculum in 1980.
The program trains students to fully understand and analyze investment strategies, risk management, tax implications and estate planning. Students can earn their certificate, bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in financial planning.
“Over 30 years ago, the college laid the foundation for a top-notch financial planning program by offering students a ground-breaking academic curriculum taught by innovative and dedicated faculty members” said Michael Cunningham, dean of SDSU’s College of Business Administration.
“We have continued to build upon our well-earned reputation as one of the top financial planning educational institutions in the world and we are honored that Financial Planning magazine has chosen to recognize SDSU’s College of Business Administration for the second year in a row.”
