The Campaign for SDSU is the university’s first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign.

It was launched to create new opportunities for student success and to help SDSU continue to develop as a leading public research university.

The Campaign recently reached a new milestone, with more than $484 million raised of the $500-million goal.

The following are some of the gifts received in addition to many others that support all areas of the SDSU campus.

SDSU received another gift from the Estate of Marian K. Van Kirk in the amount of $58,589.

Alumnus Robert Fischbach has pledged a gift of $25,000 to fund the BlackRock Experience for SDSU Students. This program will provide opportunities for students to explore employment with BlackRock, the largest asset manager in the world.

An anonymous donor gifted $200,000 to support the Department of Geology in the College of Sciences.

Alumnus Steve Black has pledged $1,000,000 to establish a scholarship endowment for real estate in the College of Business Administration.

Alumni Keith Behner and Catherine Stiefel have donated $25,000 to support scholarships in the College of Business Administration.

A matching gift of $5,000 from Raytheon Company will support the Mary Catherine Martinez Scholarship Endowment in the College of Education.

Another matching gift of $5,000 from Novartis Foundation will support the College of Business Administration.

A matching gift of $10,000 will support the Allan Bailey Dean's Endowment in the College of Business Administration.  This gift is from Qualcomm which has also made an additional gift of $10,000 to support the College of Business Administration's Dean's Funds.

A gift of $1.2 million from the estate of James Mohatt will support scholarships at SDSU.

About the Campaign 

Since it launched in 2007, more than 45,000 donors, including alumni, friends, faculty, staff, parents and community partners, have contributed to the Campaign for SDSU.

The Campaign aims to create new opportunities for student success and to help SDSU continue to develop as a leading public research university.
