Great Expectations for 2011

From women's golf to football to basketball, 2010 was a big year for SDSU's student-athletes.
By Lorena Nava Ruggero

With national rankings and two undefeated teams in men’s basketball and swimming and diving, SDSU Athletics is starting 2011 off just as strong as it finished 2010. With several records and national appearances last year, the Aztecs are looking for more of the same in 2011.

Not only did teams reach new heights and student-athletes perform at record levels, but fans also came out in supporting Aztecs near and far.

  • Swimming finished 2010 undefeated, ranked 23rd in nation (highest ranking ever), making it the best start in school history, and set eight individual, three diving and two relay Aztec records
