Execs Join Business Administration Board

Six business executives recently joined SDSU’s College of Business Administration board of directors

The College of Business Administration at San Diego State University announced that six business executives with local, national and international ties have been named to the college’s board of directors.

About the directors

Michael Bertolino, '85, accounting
Bertolino is the west region tax managing partner for Ernst & Young and specializes in global tax consulting services. He is known throughout Ernst & Young for his commitment to gender equality within the accounting field.

Jeffery Dunham, '83, finance
Dunham is the founder and CEO of Dunham & Associates Investment Counsel Inc. and the chairman of the Dunham Trust Company. Dunham was a pioneer in performance-based advisory compensation which has now become a standard in the industry.

Tom Gildred, '88, accounting
Gildred, aSan Diego entrepreneur, launched Emerald Textiles in 2010, a commercial laundry service for Southern California healthcare providers, which now serves nearly 80 percent of the hospital beds in San Diego. He is also the founder and chairman for FMT Consultants, a Microsoft certified gold partner.

Stedman Graham
Graham is the chairman and CEO of S. Graham & Associates, a Chicago-based management and marketing consulting firm. He also conducts training for corporations, organizations and nonprofits and is the author of two New York Times bestsellers, You Can Make It Happen: A Nine-Step Plan for Success and Teens Can Make It Happen: Nine Steps to Success.

Brian Kelley
As the CFO and managing partner for Paradigm Investment Group, Kelley oversees a 96-unit Hardee’s franchise group. He also serves as the CFO for the partnership group that owns and operates the award-winning Donovan’s Prime Steakhouse and Donovan’s Prime Seafood restaurants.

Alan Wessel
Wessel graduated in 1981 with a finance degree from San Diego State and currently serves as the senior vice president of the west region at Vulcan Materials Company. He has been with the company since 1992 and is responsible for Vulcan’s business interests in California, Arizona and New Mexico.

A warm welcome

“We welcome our 2013 incoming class of directors.  These six exemplary individuals will join our existing board members in investing their time and resources into the college by mentoring our students, offering financial support, collaborating with faculty on cutting-edge research, and providing their expertise into building a relevant curriculum,” said Michael Cunningham, dean of SDSU’s College of Business Administration.
