SDSU Dispatcher Recognized for Excellence

Police Dispatcher Lucy Palatian was named County Dispatcher of the Year for her dedication to public service.

SDSU Police Dispatcher Lucy Palatian was recognized as the San Diego County Dispatcher of the Year by the San Diego Association of Public Safety Dispatchers.

The annual award is designed to recognize excellence in public safety dispatching throughout San Diego County.

About Palatian

Palatian is a Peace Officer Standards and Training certified communications training officer. She is accountable for training newly hired dispatchers on the myriad of computer systems and resources required of every dispatcher.

Palatian is a gifted and talented dispatcher whose love for the job and the people she works with is seen through her dispatching and her work.

Palatian routinely goes above and beyond for the SDSU Police Communications Center, her fellow employees and the department as a whole. Palatian has logged hundreds of hours assisting with various projects within the police department and is an amateur photographer. 

"Palatian is truly a great asset to the SDSU Community and the SDSU Police Department," said Captain Lamine Secka.
