The Center for Intercultural Relations is hosting free Welcome Mixers for all members of the San Diego State University community.

The mixers cater to the diverse populations on SDSU's campus and show students how to get involved by interacting with student organizations, faculty and staff, and develop relationships between individuals who share similar backgrounds and experiences.

The events are part of Welcome Week, the first week of the fall semester.

All are welcome

"We hold these mixers to cultivate a strong connection to the diverse community that San Diego State has. We want all Aztecs, past, present, and future, to know that we as a community embrace and cherish the diversity SDSU has to offer," said Tanis Starck, director of the center.

Student organizations, such as the Afrikan Student Union, Womyn's Outreach Association and Aztecs for Israel, will table at the mixers.

All events except for the Jewish Welcome Week Mixer will be held at the Cholula Community Center located at the Chapultepec residence hall.
