It's time to head back to school for San Diego State University. Starting this week, nearly 8,000 new students will join the Aztec family.

August 23 was move-in day for the new Aztecs, and thousands of students, parents and campus organizations flocked to the residence halls to help make the transition to campus as smooth as possible.

"I'm sad to see him go," said Aztec parent Kenneth Davis, referencing his son Stephen. "But I know he's going to do great things at SDSU."

The incoming class consists of approximately 4,500 first-time freshmen and 3,500 transfer students. SDSU will also welcome nearly 1,800 new graduate students.
