The San Diego State University Diversity Awards are presented annually to student organizations, faculty, staff, alumni and community partners for their exemplary contributions to diversity and social justice.
About the awards
The SDSU Diversity Awards serve as an opportunity for the SDSU community to come together and celebrate their long standing commitment to diversity.
The event highlights and acknowledges:
- Cultural Competency Certificate recipients
- Student Research Symposium diversity researchers
- Corporate and community supporters who contribute to diversity and social justice
Nominate a recipient
Award recipients should demonstrate an exemplary commitment to the campus' goal to create a community proud of its diversity and commitment to social justice and exhibit leadership which fosters positive interaction between people of different lifestyles, cultural backgrounds and identities.
Entries are evaluated by members of the campus community and individuals designated by the Office of the President.
To nominate a member of the SDSU community for a Diversity Award, visit the Diversity Award website submission page. The submission deadline is Friday, March 7.
The awards program will include up to five awards. Winners will be announced at the celebration.
The ceremony will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union, Montezuma Hall.
