San Diego State University is holding its annual Spring Emergency Drill on Tuesday, April 8. Storm Hall and Storm Hall West will be evacuated at approximately 11:15 a.m.
What to expect
The drill will begin with the building fire alarms activated, and all building occupants are required to evacuate.
SDSU Police and other emergency personnel will respond and occupants of Storm Hall and Storm Hall West will evacuate to Scripps Park to await the all-clear. The drill will conclude by 11:45 a.m.
The university will use the opportunity to test some of its emergency communications tools including the SDSU Urgent Page, a website that is updated during campus emergencies; SDSU Alert, which sends text and e-mail messages during emergencies; as well as Facebook and Twitter. The university information phone line, (866)-794-8832, will also be tested.
