Back by popular demand, the second installment of Aztec Science Camp for Kids aged 6 through 13 will return to the Mesa this summer.

San Diego State University is hosting its two Aztec Science Camp sessions, which are five days each of science and discovery.  The camp is designed to expose kids to science and develop their curiosity about the world around them.

Topics will vary so that children can be engaged with new ideas about science each week.

Camp sessions include:

  • Mission Impossible and Nature Detectives (for campers ages 6-7 and 8-9)
  • Aztec Crime Lab and Imagineering (for campers ages 10-11 and 12-13)

The camp director is an experienced K-12 teacher; the lead teachers are completing SDSU's teacher credential program and are passionate about science; and camp counselors are science and engineering majors from SDSU.

Camp sessions

There will be two sessions offered — July 13 through 17 and July 20 through 24. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with extended care available in the afternoon. Registration is now open. SDSU faculty, staff, and students receive a $25 discount per camper per week.
