February 11 events

Mural dedication
12 to 1 p.m.

SDSU students and faculty recently completed a new mural in Love Library. The goal of the mural is to create a welcoming environment that celebrates the diversity of SDSU’s student population. In addition, the mural allows current students to leave their mark on campus. This event will announce the mural's official name and honor the artists responsible for the new addition.

Will Write for Love
12 to 1 p.m.

Arts Alive SDSU and the MFA Writers’ Collaborative present "Will Write for Love" at the Farmer’s Market for the second year in a row. Come out the the North Library Walkway between 12 and 1 p.m. and discover poets at their typewriters crafting love poems in honor of Valentine’s Day. Poems are hand-crafted live, on the spot for you to take back home to your loved one or to keep for yourself! We hope you will join us for this unique interactive art-making experience.

Writing is Power

To enter the drawing, write a short entry either agreeing or disagreeing with the statement; writing is power. Any entry that makes a strong case either way will be entered into a drawing, and eligible to win a prize. Entries are accepted anytime the Writing Center is open. Submissions will close Wednesday, Feb. 10 at noon.

Change the Heart

Participants can enter the drawing by choosing the heart curve equation that best defines your love. Winners will receive an Aztec Shops gift certificate or other prizes. Contest runs through Feb. 10.  Entry forms are available in Math & Stats Learning Center LL328.
