Applications are now being accepted for the 31st annual Quest for the Best Awards at San Diego State University. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13.

Presented by the Student Life and Leadership Office, the Quest for the Best Vice Presidential Student Services Leadership Awards recognize outstanding student leaders who demonstrate excellence in academics, campus involvement and community service.

As observers of some of the remarkable student achievements happening on campus, whether it is through academics, participation in student organizations or student-led research, SDSU faculty and staff are invited to encourage students making a mark on campus to apply.

Approximately 10 students will receive the award at a gala in April honoring the “best of the best” students. To be eligible for the awards, students must be enrolled at SDSU with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA, have completed at least one year on campus, and have earned at least 75 units of college work. Applicants will then be evaluated in four areas:
  • Academic excellence
  • Student involvement and commitment
  • Community service outside the SDSU campus
  • Leadership qualities and development
