In Memoriam: Maurizio Antoninetti
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 at SDSU, outside of the Professional Studies and Fine Arts Building.
Maurizio Antoninetti, a professor in SDSU’s School of Public Affairs, died May 10 at the age of 54.
As a self-described “energetic consultant-teacher-activist who also was a husband, father, homeowner, and paraplegic,” Maurizio worked tirelessly on his passions of universal design and disability rights.
Maurizio earned his Ph.D. at the University California Santa Barbara and was a professor in the School of Public Affairs at SDSU.
Maurizio was a cultured, bilingual, international gentleman who maintained a delightful streak of boyish craziness; full of life and love, class and grace, kindness and friendship.
Maurizio is survived by his wife, Livia, son Nickolas, daughter Martina, mother Marisa, brothers Marco and Massimo and their families, and friends from all over the world.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 at San Diego State University, outside of the Professional Studies and Fine Arts Building.
