Free Noon Concerts Each Wednesday
This week's free concert features former Hyperion String Quartet violist Travis Maril.
The School of Music and Dance offers a music enrichment series of free Wednesday noon concerts each semester for students, campus and community members. All performances are in Smith Recital Hall unless otherwise noted.

This week's concert
The noon concert series on Nov. 4 in Smith Recital Hall features violist Travis Maril, accompanied by pianist Ines Irawati, and featuring works by Bach, Schumann, Zhurbin and Zimbalist. A former member of the Hyperion String Quartet, ensemble-in-residence at SDSU, Maril has been hailed as a musician who is “vivacious, highly polished and fine tuned.”
About Maril
He has collaborated with chamber music luminaries including the Miró String Quartet and members of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Recent festival appearances include La Jolla Music Society’s SummerFest, the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival (Germany) and Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival. Maril currently serves as instructor of viola in the SDSU School of Music and Dance.
