It's an event 60-plus years in the making, but SDSU will honor former Japanese-American students forced to relocate to internment camps during World War II because of Executive Order 9066.

Several former SDSU students and their family members will return to campus on Monday, May 17, as part of the California Nisei College Diploma Project approved by state lawmakers. The honorary degree ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m in the Aztec Athletics Center Auditorium located on 55th Street across from Viejas Arena.
