Student Organizations

Andrea O’ Donnell Womyn’s Outreach Association

The Womyn’s Outreach Association is a student-run organization on campus with the explicit mission to empower and liberate the female and female-identified student population of SDSU and unequivocally has zero tolerance for sexism, racism, classism, ableism, homophobia, and fat-phobia. They are a multi-racial feminist group that focuses on issues of inequality and oppression that effect marginalized communities such as womyn, people of color, and LGBTQIA. Our primary focus is to eradicate sexism, genderism, homophobia, racism, violence, the control and abuse of the female body and mind, and other local and global issues that impact the lives of womyn. WOA contributes to the overall feminist goal of an equitable and just society for everyone through activism, education, discussion, advocacy, outreach, and the provision of resources to all individuals on campus.

The Association of Chicana Activists does the utmost to become actively involved with issues that impact women in the Chicano/a or Latino/a community. They seek to create a spirit of sisterhood, empower through cultural awareness, promote leadership, raise social and political awareness, and educate the community about issues that pertain to mujeres (women).
