The award-winning Compact for Success Program helps students build a vision for their future through:

College prep curriculum

The strength of the Compact for Success Program lies in rigorous college prep courses (A-G curriculum) available to all students.

Opportunity

Upon completion of the Compact for Success requirements, all students have the opportunity of guaranteed admission to SDSU, earning the status of Compact Scholars.

Motivational Activities

Encouragement and success go hand-in-hand. Compact support and motivational activities throughout middle and high school help students to become college ready and give them opportunities to visit SDSU multiple times.

Preparation

Informational workshops, step-by-step procedures and how-to sessions guide parents and students through every step of the college admission process. Review and monitoring of student progress begins at middle school and continues through high school.

Academic Focus

To ensure that students succeed in a college preparatory curriculum and Advanced Placement courses, Compact for Success aligns itself with AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), a program that helps students increase their potential by instilling academic and organizational habits, critical thinking activities, notetaking skills, and tutorial support.
