|April 30, 2014. CRMSE member Stephen Reed has been approved for a one-year, renewable visiting appointment at Stanford University's Center for the Study of Language and Information. His host and sponsor will be Jay McClelland, a "superstar cognitive psychologist" (in Steve's words) who is one of the inaugural recipients of the National Academy of
Sciences (NAS) Prize in Psychological and Cognitive Sciences. (See the story in Stanford's The Dish.) |
Steve says about Jay, "I hadn't realized until reading this article [in The Dish]
that his interests had shifted to mathematical reasoning. I hadn't
planned to continue my own work in this area, but now plan some
collaborations with Jay in addition to writing more general integrative
articles that should fit well with other work at the Center."
Congratulations on your appointment, Steve!
