Tom Carey, CRMSE Visiting Scholar and Research Professor in the College of Sciences, now has additional appointments in Canada (his home base) and Australia.

In Canada, Tom has been appointed as Executive-in-Residence for Teaching and Learning Innovation at two institutions in Toronto, George Brown College (in the Office of the Vice President, Research & Innovation) and York University (for the Bergeron Entrepreneurship in Science & Technology Program in the Lassonde School of Engineering). Tom is the project director for a new initiative to explore Innovation Capability as a core graduate attribute for all undergraduate students. George Brown and York are respectively the lead college and lead university for the initiative.

Tom has also been appointed as Executive-in-Residence for Teaching & Learning Innovation at the British Columbia Association of Institutes and Universities. BCAIU is the province-wide sector group 'primarily undergraduate' institutions in public higher education (8 in BC, 1 additional affiliate in the Yukon territory neighboring Alaska). 

In Australia, Tom will be Visiting Scholar for 2016-17 at the Institute for Teaching & Learning Innovation at the University of Queensland in Brisbane.
