Our rigorous academic programs and leading-edge research opportunities attract outstanding students and award-winning faculty from diverse backgrounds all over the world. What brings us together is a passion to learn, to explore, to solve problems, to invent the future.

We are continually updating and expanding our degree programs.   All seven of our undergraduate degrees are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commision of ABET*,  We offer:

Seven Bachelor of Science Degrees, in

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Construction Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

Seven Master’s Degrees, in

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Bioengineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Master of Engineering

Four Joint Ph.D.s in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego, in

  • Engineering Science/Applied Mechanics (for ME and AE students)
  • Bioengineering

  • Electrical and Computer Engineering

We pride ourselves in our blend of classroom theory and practical application. All students participate in research and design projects—completing senior projects, working with faculty, and entering design-and-build competitions.

Our extensive relationships with San Diego’s high-tech industries enable our students to complement their studies with outstanding internship opportunities, which often lead to employment after graduation.

Because engineering is global, we encourage students to study abroad through international programs in Europe, Asia and Central America.

 *  ABET is the premier accrediting agency for Engineering Colleges worldwide.
