SafeZones101is an initiative by SafeZones@SDSU to fulfill an educational need for our campus.
It complements our SafeZones Certified Ally Training program, which is
conducted by Counseling and Psychological Services twice per semester for three
hours per session.
is a two-hour dynamic educational opportunity for bigger groups to learn basic
information about LGBTQQIAA issues. Our purpose is to provide a brave space to
discuss relevant topics like affectional/sexual orientations, definitions,
appropriate name and pronoun usage, gender identities, trans* issues, coming
out, symbols within the communities, and on-campus and off-campus resources.
