SafeZones 101

SafeZones101is an initiative by SafeZones@SDSU to fulfill an educational need for our campus. It complements our SafeZones Certified Ally Training program, which is conducted by Counseling and Psychological Services twice per semester for three hours per session.

SafeZones101 is a two-hour dynamic educational opportunity for bigger groups to learn basic information about LGBTQQIAA issues. Our purpose is to provide a brave space to discuss relevant topics like affectional/sexual orientations, definitions, appropriate name and pronoun usage, gender identities, trans* issues, coming out, symbols within the communities, and on-campus and off-campus resources.

SafeZone's 101 trainings will now be available for the SDSU community on the following dates:

September 27, 2017 - 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

November 15, 2017 - 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

February 7, 2018 - 3:00 PM -4:30 PM

April 4, 2018 - 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
