Poster Presentations

Posters will be scheduled for presentation in 1 hour and 30 minute blocks during which time authors must be present to answer any questions and discuss their research with attendees.

You will be notified by email with the location and times for your poster display and presentation in early February.

  • The library has an HP wide format color printer now located in the 24/7 Study Area. The wide format printer can print posters from Acrobat (PDF) and PowerPoint files. Files setup at 100% of the poster size will yield the best results. PowerPoint has a maximum size of 42" x 56".

  • The printing fee for SRS presenters is $40 for each poster.

  • Bring your files (including fonts and any inserted images) on a Windows-compatible USB drive or CD to the 24/7 Study Area to request poster printing. Have your poster finished and printed early; waiting until just before the SRS to have your poster printed is risky. You could end up in a long line for printing, or have unforeseen technical issues that require troubleshooting or costly reprints.

  • SRS and library personnel are not available to offer design or technical support for your poster. Please make certain your file is appropriately formatted and free of errors before submitting it for printing. Any poster reprint will incur another $40 charge.
  • Information and templates for putting together a large format poster are available on SDSU's Library's website:

Intructional Technology Services is happy to provide poster information on it’s website, but ITS does NOT print posters for the SRS.

Contact Michael McGovern, Copy Services Coordinator, at(619) 594-0632 for more information about poster printing.
