SDSU Insider Airs New Episode

The half-hour show features a look at local healthcare, a hike up historic "S" Mountain and a student working toward Olympic gold.

A new episode of SDSU Insider will hit the airwaves later this week.

The half-hour news show will debut, March 8, on California NonStop channel, NBC’s 24-hour news and cable network for the state. It will also air later this month on The Mtn. and KPBS, and is available now on SDSU’s YouTube channel.

The third episode of the SDSU Insider features SDSU’s Engineering Research Center, where faculty and students are developing technology that could help paralyzed people move again.

Other features include:

  • Inside the Sharp HealthCare Human Patient Simulation Center
  • An interview with Dan Gross, Sharp HealthCare Executive Vice President
  • A hike up the historic “S” mountain

In addition, the show features a segment about SDSU women’s track and field, introducing viewers to an Aztec athlete aiming for Olympic Gold. Plus, an Olympic veteran herself, head track and field coach Sheila Burrell talks about her Olympic experience in Beijing, China and Sydney, Australia.

Hosted by SDSU alumnus and local news anchor Artie Ojeda, SDSU Insider can be seen online on SDSU’s You Tube channel (include link here) and will air throughout March:

Air times

  • March 8, 12:30 a.m.– NBC California NonStop
  • March 12, 7 p.m. – The Mtn. Network
  • March 15, 12:30 a.m. – NBC California NonStop
  • March 31, 11 a.m. – KPBS

California NonStop is available on every major cable system in California. In San Diego, it can be viewed on Time Warner Cable channel 253 and Cox Cable channel 107.  The Mtn. Network airs nationwide on Direct TV channel 616 and Cox Cable channel 320 in San Diego.  Check local listings for station information for KPBS, San Diego’s local public broadcast station.
