Five films produced by SDSU Theatre, Television and Film students and recent alumni have been nominated for Regional Student Emmys by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Pacific Southwest Chapter.

The Emmy Awards recognize outstanding achievements in television and film by conferring annual awards of merit in the Pacific Southwest region which includes San Diego, Bakersfield, Palm Springs, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

Many of the students and alums nominated this year took home Emmy’s last year.

Alumna Kristin Hansen, who wrote and directed "Untouchable," won an Emmy last year for her work on "No Way Home" with classmate Brian Garcia. Produced by fellow alumna Katy Katz, "Untouchable" was completed during their final semester at SDSU last spring.

“This is certainly a proud moment for everyone who was involved in the filmmaking process,” Hansen said.

Award recipients will be announced on June 16 at the La Costa Resort. Nominees from the School of Theatre, Television and Film include:
