SDSU Police Asks for Help in Identifying Attempted Robbery Suspects

The SDSU Police Department is requesting the help of our community in identifying and locating three people who were involved in an attempted robbery in the bathroom of the SDSU’s Love Library last week. 

On August 28, the three men reportedly attempted to rob an SDSU student in the men’s restroom on the second floor of the library.  The subjects approached the victim from behind while he was in the restroom and began punching him in the back of his head while demanding his cell phone.  The victim did not have a cell phone with him and was able to escape.  The victim sustained minor injuries.

SDSU Police have obtained security camera footage of the suspects entering the library. Your browser does not support inline frames or is currently configured not to display inline framesThey are described as:

  • Subject 1: African American male, college age, short hair, wearing a gray Mira Mesa Marauders sweatshirt, red basketball shorts, white socks and white shoes.
  • Subject 2: Lighter skinned African American male, college age, bushy hair, wearing a red long-sleeve jacket over a white shirt, dark pants dark shoes.
  • Subject 3: African American male, college age, short hair, wearing eye glasses, a light gray sweatshirt with the words “Associated Students,” long tan shorts, white socks and white high-tops.
