New Library Exhibit Highlights University's History

"SDSU from A to Z" is an alphabetical history celebrating SDSU Month

Take a stroll through time and view photographs, yearbooks, correspondence, and artifacts dating from San Diego State University's founding in 1897 as a normal school to the research institution that it is today.  “SDSU from A to Z” is an alphabetical history of San Diego State University in celebration of SDSU Month. While it would be impossible in one exhibition to represent every person, place, event, or custom that has played a role in the evolution of SDSU, the selections offer a glimpse into the campus’ rich and textured past.

This exhibit is one of a number of artistic, academic, and athletic events and displays related to SDSU Month, held every year in March to celebrate our campus accomplishments and raise awareness of SDSU's vital role in San Diego's community.

SDSU Special Collections and University Archives is home to these and other materials that document SDSU’s history.

The free exhibit runs through March 30 in the SDSU Library’s Donor Hall.
