Beginning Monday, Oct. 1, San Diego State University, along with the other 22 CSU campuses, will begin accepting applications from new students for admission to the fall 2013 term.  Students intending to apply for fall should visit the website www.csumentor.edu to complete the online application.

Record application numbers

Last year SDSU recieved a record 69,225 applications for undergraduate admission. Students interested in learning more about SDSU, its requirements and deadlines, should visit the Admissions website as a starting point.

The application filing period ends on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012.

Did I get in?

Students will be notified of their admission decision no later than March 1, 2013.  During the application process, prospective students are strongly encouraged to be aware of campus requirements and deadlines. High school seniors and community college transfer students are especially encouraged to apply no later than Nov. 30, 2012. After that date, most CSU campuses will stop accepting applications.  CSU Mentor is the best systemwide source for updated information on applying to campuses and programs.

Financial aid

The next step after applying is to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Nearly half of CSU undergraduates receive enough in financial aid to cover the full cost of their tuition fees. CSU students also benefit from one of the lowest tuition rates in the nation.
