San Diego State University is encouraging the campus community to take part in the Great California Shakeout, where participants can learn about how to protect themselves during an earthquake.
There are a number of ways to prepare for an earthquake and practice safety during an earthquake.

Emergency Communications
During the shakeout, the SDSU campus will not be holding official "drop, cover and hold" drills, and no buildings will be evacuated. However, campus emergency communication resources will be tested, including the SDSU Alert text messaging system and social media.
