Life After SDSU

SDSU Career Services offers the free workshop series, "Life After SDSU" to Aztec alumni looking for a career boost.

Throughout the month of June, SDSU Career Services is offering a series of "Life After SDSU" free workshops to SDSU alumni.  The workshops provide practical and helpful suggestions over four weeks in sessions including: Social Media and personal Branding, Effective Job Search and Building Your Network, and Show Me the Money: Salary Negotiation.

All workshops will be located in Career Services, room 1200 of the Student Services East building. Dates and times with featured topics each week:

Week 1
  • Tuesday, June 2: How to Manage Stress and Job Search (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
  • Thursday, June 4: Social Media and Personal Branding (11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
Week 2
  • Tuesday, June 9: Building Your Resume and Cover Letters (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, June 10: Effective Job Search & Building Your Network (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
  • Thursday, June 11: Ace the Interview, Thank You Notes & Etiquette (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
Week 3
  • Tuesday, June 16: Applying for Federal Employment (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, June 17: Becoming Your Own Financial Advisor (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
  • Thursday, June 18: Show Me the Money: Salary Negotiation (11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
Week 4
  • Tuesday, June 23: Alumni Panel: Become Ready for Your New Job (11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
  • Thursday, June 25: Backpacks to Briefcases (11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.)
