A week of events welcomes alumni back to campus and celebrates Aztec pride.

Homecoming 2015 is here!

San Diego State University's Homecoming week runs from Nov. 8 through 14 and alumni, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the weeklong celebration.
This year's theme is San Diego State of Mind, and SDSU will host events and activities to celebrate Aztec pride with a special emphasis on re-engaging past students with their alma mater.

Sunday, November 8

Men’s soccer Game vs. Oregon State
12 p.m., SDSU Sports Deck

Come out and support SDSU's men’s soccer team as they take on Oregon State.

Monday, November 9

Aztec Pride Chalking
12 to 2 p.m., Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre walkway  

Show off your artistic ability by chalking on the sidewalk and showcasing how much you love SDSU.

San Diego State Of Mind: Talent Show
7 p.m., Montezuma Hall

Support your fellow Aztecs as they show off their talents and Homecoming commercials.

Tuesday, Nov. 10

San Diego State Gives Back: Blood Drive
9 a.m. to 5 p.m., South End Campanile Walkway

Save a life and come donate to the American Red Cross Blood Drive in honor of our “service day” for Homecoming Week.

Spirit Shirt Swap
12 p.m. to 2 p.m., South Centennial Walkway

Swap your old articles of clothing for a free SDSU spirit shirt! All old clothing will be donated to Embrace of San Diego.  

State “CAN” Give Back
12 p.m. to 2 p.m., South Centennial Walkway (in front of Union)

Support the Aztecs Rock Hunger campus-wide food drive as SDSU competes against other area universities. Look for the red bins on campus to donate food to the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank. Come to the front of the Union to check out the “CAN”-Structions created by the Homecoming Student Teams!

Thursday, November 12

March to the Arch
12 p.m., Hepner Hall to Aztec Student Union

Join the Marching Aztecs, SDSU Dance Team and Cheer Squad, and the Aztec Warrior in the Aztecs’ newest game week tradition — the March to the Arch. Starting at Hepner Hall at noon, the Aztecs make the march to the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union.

Ultimate Aztec Challenge
1 p.m., ENS 700

Come support your favorite student team in your SDSU Gear while they compete to prove their Aztec strength by participating in a challenging relay race, featuring an inflatable obstacle course and more.

Friday, November 13

War Memorial Ceremony
9 a.m., War Memorial Monument

The memories of our SDSU fallen Aztecs will be honored at the 19th Annual War Memorial wreath-laying ceremony on the Aztec Green. Pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice during our nation’s military conflicts. Two names will be added to the memorial.

Men’s Basketball vs. Illinois State
7 p.m., Viejas Arena

Basketball season officially begins with this Homecoming Friday night matchup versus Illinois State. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in Viejas Arena.

Saturday, November 14

Second Annual Homecoming 5K
9 a.m., Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union, Lee & Goldberg Courtyard

Kick off Homecoming game day with a morning run through SDSU campus beside fellow students, alumni, staff, faculty and friends.

Homecoming Football Game
7:30 p.m., Qualcomm Stadium

The week culminates with the Homecoming Football game vs. the Wyoming Cowboys. Kick-off is set at 7:30 p.m., with Aztec Village and the pregame carnival opening at 5 p.m. in Parking Section C1/D1 at Qualcomm Stadium. Aztecs are also invited to help welcome the team to the stadium for the traditional Warrior Walk at 5:30 p.m. between parking section E and F as the echo from Aztec drums signal the team’s arrival.
