Summer is a great season for enjoying Aztec Recreation on campus and at Mission Bay. From membership that includes a wide variety of programs and facilities to summer youth programming, take advantage of the gorgeous A.S. facilities and activities while you connect with fellow Aztecs, friends and family.
Adult membership
Focus on your health and wellness at the ARC and ARC Express this summer through open recreation opportunities, including weight training, cardio exercise equipment, climbing and basketball.
More than 30 weekly summer Group Fitness classes take place every week. The summer schedule includes new 45-minute lunchtime classes to help you fit your workout in midday. Aztecfit, a new Cross Fit-inspired resistance training workout and a new weight training fundamentals class will be offered in the new Performance Center in Peterson Gym.
Intramural Sport leagues will begin in mid-July with a summer sport line-up of basketball, outdoor soccer and indoor soccer. Summer league online registration opens in late June.
Aztec Recreation membership is all-inclusive and also includes access to the Aquaplex, bowling in Aztec Lanes, racquetball and tennis. For pricing options and more information, visit the Aztec Recreation website.
Aztec Aquaplex
Youth membership access dates for the Aztec Aquaplex are May 16 through August 25. Children under 18 can be added to an adult Aztec Recreation membership for $49 per child. Youth have access to the Aztec Aquaplex, Tennis Center, Racquetball and Aztec Lanes, as well as use of the Aztec Aquaplex inflatable obstacle course during programmed times. Youth may access the Aquaplex during family swim hours which are offered seven-days-per-week during the summer months.
Swim and tennis
The schedule of aquatics classes offers a variety of lesson times including weekends, weekday mornings and evenings with lessons for infants to adults. Private lessons are a popular format and can be scheduled during summer and throughout the year. Springboard diving, water polo and pre-competitive swim team classes will be offered. Tennis lessons are also a hit with small group and private lessons starting in early June.
Aztec Lanes
Aztec Lanes, SDSU's bowling alley, will feature Kids Bowl Free 2016. Registered children ages 12 and under receive two free games of bowling every day, all summer long. Mission Bay Aquatic Center
More than 2,400 youth enjoy summer watersports camps at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center every year. Activities offered at the MBAC include wakeboarding, surfing, sailing, kayaking, stand up paddling, windsurfing and exploring marine science.

Group events
Aztec Recreation group events allow you and your colleagues, friends and family to celebrate or team build. Special event rentals for groups of five to 500 are available at the Aquaplex, Aztec Lanes and Mission Bay Aquatic Center. For team-building, take advantage of Aztec Adventures Team Challenge program to develop your department or student organization with valuable training that enhances trust and partnership.
