Students can rest assured knowing that there will be no shortage of free, fun campus events during the first few weeks of fall semester.

With support from the Division of Student Affairs, Associated Students and the departments of Residential Education and Student Life and Leadership, Welcome Week offers dozens of fun events as students begin their Aztec Experience.

Events during Welcome Week kick off on Friday, Aug. 26 with the Aztec tradition, Templo Del Sol, beginning at 9 p.m. outside Hepner Hall, followed by New Student and Family Convocation on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and the Aztec Football Swarm from 5 to 7 p.m. that same evening.

Additional Welcome Week events include the One SDSU Community Cultural and Diversity Showcase on Monday, Aug. 29, in Montezuma Hall, followed by the Aztec Bash @ State BBQ lunch along North Library Walkway on Tuesday, Aug. 30, with Vice President of Student Affairs Eric Rivera.

The fun continues with Aztec Nights, offering students a vibrant campus nightlife of free social opportunities, including open-air film screenings, a campus carnival, a charity dance marathon, comedy acts, a lights out concert, and more. Students with a valid Red ID can bring one guest to all Aztec Nights events.
