San Diego State University’s newest residence halls in South Campus Plaza are set to open this week as students will move into their new home for the spring semester.
South Campus Plaza sits on the corner of College Avenue and Montezuma Road, and features housing for more than 600 students along with retail spaces designed to serve both the campus and surrounding neighborhoods. The residence halls, North Hall and South Hall, offer double- and triple-occupancy student rooms, student learning and tutoring spaces and a variety of common areas. The project began construction in fall 2014.
Retail spaces are still under construction but will include: Trader Joe's, Eureka!, Broken Yolk Café, Epic Wings N Things, Which Wich, a Verizon GoWireless store and others yet to be announced.
