Health Tip from SDSU Health Promotion: With classes and co-curricular activities in progress, this is a reminder of the importance of practicing good health habits, which may prevent the spread of viruses such as chickenpox, hepatitis A, and seasonal influenza commonly known as “the flu.” These habits include: eating healthy, nutritious foods; exercising; getting plenty of quality sleep; managing stress with healthy coping strategies; drinking plenty of fluids; covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, referenced as cough etiquette; washing your hands often with soap and water; and seeking appropriate medical care when ill.
