Students arrived on campus hauling luggage and college essentials --- many with the help from their families and friends --- and checked into their homes Wednesday for San Diego State University's 126th academic year.

Welcome Week kicked off with the midweek Move-in Day, which saw first-year and returning students settling into their new residences. The week continued with numerous activities across campus including workshops and Aztec Nights. Many of the activities were postponed for public safety due to potential impact caused by Tropical Storm Hilary which made landfall in San Diego on Sunday.
