Course forgiveness request forms are now available exclusively in the SDSU WebPortal. The new online form introduces a paperless, automated process for students applying for course forgiveness. Students no longer need to go to the Office of the Registrar to apply for course forgiveness as the form is conveniently available 24/7 in the WebPortal.

The online course forgiveness request forms are accepted each semester after the schedule adjustment deadline to add classes. There is no fee for current term course forgiveness requests submitted by the last day of the term. A current term request means the student is currently enrolled in the repeat course, e.g., is taking a fall 2010 class to forgive a spring 2010 class.

Retroactive course forgiveness requests are accepted on the WebPortal any time for a $20 fee. A retroactive request means that the student completed the repeat course in a past term, e.g., took a spring 2010 class to forgive a fall 2009 class.

Faculty and staff with questions about the new request form or the WebPortal can call the Office of the Registrar at 619-594-6871. Students should call 619-594-6871 or visit the Office of the Registrar in SSW 1641.

Students who wish to receive academic advising on the course repeat and course forgiveness policies can call 619-594-6668 or visit the Academic Advising Center in SSW 1551 to speak with an academic adviser.
