Alumna Kim Folsom is joining the advisory board of SDSU’s College of Business Administration, beginning June 1, 2011.

Folsom is the president and CEO of ShowUhow, which provides video product guides via the Web and smart phones to aid consumers with setup and use of consumer products. She earned her degree in information systems from SDSU in 1990.

“Kim’s ties to SDSU and to the San Diego community will provide her with insight that will serve the College well as we move into our most challenging economic climates,” said Gail Naughton, dean of the College of Business Administration. “In addition, her entrepreneurial and management expertise will be of great value to our students who wish to build their own businesses.”

Folsom is equally excited.

“As an SDSU alumna, I understand the value of the education offered by the college and the university,” she said. “My education provided me with the foundation I needed to help me start my business and I am committed to supporting the efforts of the college and the university as they help to launch the careers of the region’s future business leaders.”
