The Francine Merritt Award selection committee of the Women’s Caucus of the National Communication Association (NCA) selected SDSU communication professor Patricia Geist-Martin as the recipient of this year’s Francine Merritt Award for outstanding contributions to the lives of women in communication.

The award will be formally presented Nov. 18 at the 2011 NCA conference in New Orleans.
