Malaysian international student Karyna Yoong started kickboxing as a hobby and a way to stay fit, but it soon turned into something more serious. Yoong fought in the 2014 World Kickboxing Championship in China.

2017 Trustee Emeritus Ali C Razi scholarship recipient Alejandro arias with President Sally Roush and Chancellor Timothy White

Fallbrook, Calif.-native Alejandro Arias, a food and nutrition major, was named the 2017 Trustee Emeritus Ali C. Razi Scholar, an award that includes $12,000 in funding. Arias supports students through SDSU’s SOAR Mentor Program.

Avoid a $75 Ticket for Bicycling, Skateboarding

With the start of the Spring 2018 semester, University Police will begin issuing warnings and citations for those bicycling and skateboarding in restricted areas around campus.

Basketball Tickets Online; No Show Policy in Effect

Current SDSU students can now claim their free men's basketball tickets online. Students who claim a ticket and do not attend or have the ticket removed from their account will be subject to the No Show Policy.

NEW REGISTRATION TIMELINE

SDSU is implementing new a registration timeline next year – so talk to your advisers now. Continuing students register for the fall semester in April; registration for Spring 2019 begins during the Fall of 2018.

KIOSK OPEN FOR BUSINESS

The Be International Kiosk is officially open for business. Study abroad peer advisors are available Mondays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The kiosk is located beside the BCB coffee cart on east campus across from the Education Business Administration (EBA) building.
