  • Women can come in and fill out an intake form for services
  • Opens at 7:00 a.m. and women are able to get coffee, lunch, have mail delivered, and use the showers
  • There is a resource specialist, recovery specialist, psychiatrist, and social worker available for women’s needs
  • Different programs are offered, such as drug and alcohol information classes

  • Short-term or mid-term emergency shelter for homeless women in San Diego
  • Must be 18 years and older.
  • Will accept women with alcohol or drug problems as long as they are sober
  • Does NOT accept males, couples, children, emancipated minors or persons in wheelchairs
  • 35 cots are available on a daily basis
  • Ladies can call at 11:30am to see if there’s a bed available for the night
  • At 1:00pm they hold an orientation and whoever is the most qualified will be able to stay the night (based upon availability)

  • Short term housing for men who are homeless, unemployed, or collecting assistance
  • Must be 18 years and older
  • First-come first-serve basis and the first night is a trial to determine whether it is a good fit for the individual 
  • 2-month program (not guaranteed)
  • Zero tolerance for alcohol and drugs (non-prescription) and they perform routine drug tests
  • Monitor and make sure the individuals are looking for work and/or housing, as well as saving money
  • Cannot be a prior sexual offender and must be a minimum of three weeks sober before entering the program
  • Select individuals who are disabled, have health problems, or mental issues are required to take their medication as directed

  • Faith-based organization
  • Temporary but affordable housing that includes opportunities for meals and social services at no additional cost.
  • Able to house these individuals and families for up to 28 days at a time
  • Christ-centered program, including bible studies. Individuals participating in these programs are not required to attend any of the Christ-centered classes, but are welcome to do so.

  • Maternity Shelter: Provides safe, secure and supportive housing with intensive case management services for pregnant and parenting young women between 18-24 years old, and their dependent children. Services provided include, stable housing, evidence-based parenting skills, mental health counseling. self-sufficiency training, job training resources, nutrition/health education. Waiting list is currently closed.
  • Family Self-Sufficiency: Emergency food and shelter, nutrition education, benefits application assistance, workforce development support and free tax consultation, education and preparation for families.

PATH - Connections Housing Outreach Hotline

  • Interim Housing: a 30-90 day program with the goal of preparing individuals who are homeless, chronically homeless, and/or deemed vulnerable or at risk on the streets for permanent housing.
  • Accommodates 150 people at one time
  • There are over three dozen services provided, including mental health, legal-aid, and creative writing.
  • Permanent supportive housing: provides eligible tenants with an affordable studio apartment unit coupled with supportive services designed to address the causes of an individuals previous homelessness.
  • 73 permanent studio units, and each resident is assigned to a case manager who assists them in accessing on-site services based on their needs.
  • Apartments are subsidized with housing vouchers from the San Diego Housing Commission, with case management provided by PATH.
  • Priority is given to individuals who are chronically homeless and disabled in downtown San Diego

Transitional Housing Program Plus (THP-Plus) (619) 521-2250

Take Wing:

  • Serves youth ages 18-24 who have aged out of foster care and who were in foster care in San Diego on or after their 16th birthday and are currently at risk for homelessness
  • Allowed up to 24 cumulative months of service.
  • Community youth/TLP: serves youth ages 16-21 and who are homeless
  • 16 and 17 year olds must be legally emancipated
  • Allowed up to 18 months of service
  • The 2 categories provide multiple services, such as case management, job readiness, community meetings and activities

Transitional Housing Program Plus (THP-Plus):

  • Programs available to emancipated/former foster youth
  • Youth may be either single or parenting
  • Comprised of approximately 60 apartments located in various neighborhoods throughout San Diego County
  • Safe and stable housing with reduced rent
  • THP-Plus provides various services, including care management, educational advocacy and support, and 24-hour crisis intervention and support

  • Overnight emergency shelter for single women and their children
  • Provides a secure place to sleep, hot meals, clothing, hygiene products, and warm showers
  • Since it is an overnight shelter, everyone needs to be off the property by 7:00am and check-in time does not begin until 5:30pm
  • Women can stay with their children for up to 30 consecutive days

  • Affordable, supportive housing for youth between 18-24 years old
  • Must be homeless, meet low-income requirements, and must have qualifying disability (mental health, chronic subs. abuse or HIV/AIDS)
  • Eligibility is based on the applicant’s current need, apartment availability and the application process
