Blind and Low Vision Services
Student Ability Success Center provides accommodations on a case-by-case basis to students who are blind or have low vision.
Support Services Offered
- Accommodated testing (e.g. extended time, reader, writer, tests in alternative format, and reduced-distraction environment)
- Alternative media for accessible course materials (e.g. Braille and textbook conversion to electronic format)
- Consultation with SASC staff to determine assistive technology needs
- Disability-related advising
- Mobility orientation to the SDSU campus
- Notetaker services
- Priority registration
Qualifying for Services
- Individuals requesting services must be currently registered at SDSU. See Getting Started with Student Ability Success Center.
- Accommodations will be determined in consultation with an SASC Counselor during an intake appointment. After accommodations have been determined, students may begin requesting their authorized accommodations.
