Academic Advising
One of the key components of the SSS project is Academic Advising. Teresa Spoulos, SSS Project Director, is available to meet with students to discuss pertinent support services and offer guidance in:
- course selection;
- maintaining academic performance;
- meeting university requirements;
- completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); and
- seeking scholarship resources.

Meet our NEW TRiO Project Advisor
My name is Nicky Kratzer (she/they) and I am the new TRiO Academic Advisor here at San Diego State University! I am so excited to be here and work with our SASC and TRiO students.
As the TRiO Academic Advisor, I help students get registered for classes, review their degree evaluation, and make a graduation plan. I also meet with students to work on scholarship applications, learn more about time management and study skills, and write personal statements for grad school applications (among many other things). TRiO also has a tutoring and mentoring program.
